My Village Preserve Culture of Java

The life of the community is always related to culture. Each ethnic group has its own uniqueness and cultural distinctiveness. Between one region with other regions have different environments so as to give marks differently in cultural diversity. So in the my village have a tradition that is doing the ceremony which followed the entire ”Merdi Desa” that followed the rest of the villagers. The ceremony of this was done in the month of java precisely on the suro month that which is purposed to”tolak balak” all unfortunate that happens and so that agriculture the more prosperous. Who reputedly he said this month very hallowed and sacral for the people of java, what's more to the residents in the my village still very strong things mystical and traditional Javanese still very preserved.

Before the event starts , the villages sesepuh to grave mbah kyai kecis who was the first founder village , therefore called is Kecis village . Any family of bring sesajen that will prayed especially together in the ceremony performed in crossroad the way village. And before all of that villager make large sesajen that contains of agricultural produce village . My elect inside of them , together housewife another my joined decorate sesajen that will diarak surround the village of the time of the ceremony of  “ Merdi Desa” of lasting .

            At the ceremony my act as narrator to read the order, sing the song and also read Geguritan Java that has been determined. Reception has been going on, then came the goat's head buried in the middle of the village and its residents paraded offerings adults and children alike to follow behind. At the ceremony my wore indigenous dress kebaya java that, After the ceremony took place the evening entertainment village leaders held a shadow puppets event.

            A variety of neighbors villagers present to see the show, from children, adults and parents. A lot of Javanese arts in the display area for approximately 2 days. The event is performed once a year.
